We are Ready to Adopt

Congratulations! Coming together and making the decision to adopt is a wonderful thing. Adoption is truly from the heart of God and you can expect a great blessing!

First of all, you will need to check the Requirements to Adopt section of this website. Our requirements are a combination of State Minimum Standards and our own. Note; There are some requirements that may be waived for the best interest in the child.   If you have a question about any of the requirements, please contact Special Delivery.

Once the determination is made that you meet the requirements, you:

• Fill out the questionnaire and send with $100 non-refundable fee
• Attend a two hour orientation explaining the entire adoption process
• Fill out the application and return with a $150 non-refundable fee
• Agree to a home study
• Attend an eight hour adoption education training
• You’re Approved
• Wait upon the Lord!
• You’re matched with a birth mother
• Meet the birth mother (possibly birth father, and extended family)

You might expect the entire approval process to take approximately three months, from start to finish. The time will vary depending on individual circumstances. We cannot make a time claim for your baby to arrive, the timing is God’s job. However, our first family to adopt with Special Delivery applied in September 2006, was approved in November, and their baby was born December 2006.
